Grants are rewards of funding given to certain charities, individuals, businesses, or facilities in order to help those groups or individuals continue the valuable work they do. Billions are given away each year to support charitable groups particularly. The money is not just awarded randomly in a lottery style giveaway; grant money is only awarded to those people who submit the best grant proposals. Grant proposals are written statements regarding why the organization or individual requesting money is in need of funding and why they cannot attain it in a more traditional way.
Grant proposals also usually include information about what they will do with the requested funding and their more basic financial details. Grantmakers are the government agencies, corporations, Trusts, Foundations, and individuals who give away grant money. Often the organizations that most need grant funding are the ones least likely to get them because they are far more likely to rely on inexperienced grant proposal writers. Proposals must follow a certain rubric and comply with a web of guidelines in order to be seriously considered by the grantmaker giving the money out. The guidelines set by the grantmakers are in place in order to ensure that only the most serious grant proposals even have to be looked at, the rest will be discarded. The guidelines can often serve to discourage amateur grant writers, but this is not the goal of the grantmakers.
JRS Media Solutions creates and owns several programs that help amateur grant writers to comprehend and comply with the guidelines, no matter how difficult they might be. Their programs also help grant writers to find the grant revenue they are seeking and do the necessary research needed for a workable grant proposal.
